Jade Crager

Graduate Student

Hello! My name is Jade and I’m from Garrett, Indiana. I graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in sociology. During my undergraduate years I fell in love with sociology as a discipline and chose to pursue a master’s degree in sociology to continue to foster this passion. Sociology helps me to make sense of the world around me, and provides context and meaning to many of society’s structures. Sociology teaches me compassion and empathy, ultimately bringing me closer to Christ. I am interested, broadly, in research topics such as the sociology of religion, race, ethnicity, gender, and media. I particularly enjoy qualitative research methods. I’m grateful for all my past mentors, colleagues, friends, and family who have supported me in my education journey, and I am excited to see where the master’s program will lead me next!
