Sociology Disciple-Scholar Lecture Series

The motivation for developing a lecture series was to provide a formal setting in which faculty could express to students, the University, and the broader community the variety of ways that they reconcile their disciplinary pursuits as researchers and teachers with their discipleship of the Savior Jesus Christ.

We hope that these lectures inspire our students and others to recognize that the pursuit of a sociological understanding of the world we live in is fertile soil in which to develop the intellectual and behavioral capacities that are required for honest, committed, and lifelong discipleship.
