Lacey Paulsen

Graduate Student

My name is Lacey Paulsen, and I am originally from Southern California. I started my master’s degree here after earning my BS in sociology with minors in political science and international development. I am naturally a person that has a billion questions about the world around me, and sociology has given me a route to not only answer these questions but help me ask (and work towards answering) even better ones. This process has helped me become more compassionate and analytical along the way. I am particularly focused on political sociology in both domestic and international contexts, but maintain additional interests in gender, race, immigration, class, and disabilities. In my spare time, I most likely can be found outside, traveling, or picking up a new hobby.
